Ghada is a 39-year-old Lebanese, married woman living with her husband and four children who still attend school. She strives to work really hard to support her husband with their family expenses. She has been working as a wedding dress trader from her home since 2005 and, also, as a beautician. Her husband works as a tailor in a local factory. She wants to borrow $1200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase a new collection of wedding dresses. This loan will increase her sales and, therefore, her revenue. In the future, she plans to open her own wedding dress shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
