Tarek is a 35-year-old Lebanese, single man living on his own. He is trying his best and is working hard to be able to get married and have his own family. In 2005, after eleven years of experience in cars and wheels trading, Tarek decided to start working on his own, on a free-lance basis. In parallel, he has been working for a local company since 2000. He is requesting to borrow $2500 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase extra products for his business such as wheels and a few cars. This Kiva loan will boost his business and allow him to attract new customers. In the future, he plans to open a car spare parts shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
