Laura, 28, is single and lives in her mother’s house. She has had a grocery store for more than five years and in addition works as a Teacher in the evening shift; she has a six-month-old son.

Laura is very self-sacrificing because having finished her teacher training and not finding employment in her profession she started her store seeing that her neighborhood needed one. A year ago she managed to get a teaching job which she currently is doing in the evening shift at a school near her house.

At present, she has a well-established clientele thanks to the good service and good quality of her products. She needs the loan to buy sugar, tea, rice and other basic staple items. She thanks Kiva and the Fundación for the opportunity she is receiving from them.
