Kheaiv is a local farmer in the Baray district of Kompong Tom province where she has planted her crops for many years. Besides this, she often sells the fish that her husband caught or she buys from other fishermen. She currently earns an average of $1.40 a day.
Because she lacks extra capital to improve her farming capacity during the dry season, Kheaiv is asking for a 700 USD loan from HKL. She will use it to buy a water pump, fertilizer and seeds for planting.
