Khoder is a 37-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and four school-aged children. He’s their main source of income and they all depend on him. He’s also paying his children’s educational fees.
Khoder has been working in metal for the past eight years on a free-lance basis. Today, he’s asking for a loan of $1600 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase a pick-up which will facilitate his transportation. This Kiva loan will help him collect higher income and improve his life. In the future, he plans to expand his business and gain added customers.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
