Originally from Venezuela, Roberto came to the United States about a year ago. He works at a company that provides heavy machinery and spare parts to Venezuela, Panama, and Paraguay. With his knowledge in commercial transport and his contacts in Venezuela, he decided to start his own logistics company in 2011. His background in the industry has helped him buy equipment such as car parts, motors, and forklifts to send to his home country for an affordable price. He hopes that his business will continue to grow so that he can provide for his family.
Roberto is happy that Kiva partner Accion USA worked with him in the beginning to help establish his credit, and now he is using this loan to build on the credit. This loan provided him with the capital to purchase more inventory, which, in turn, will help expand his business.
