A citizen from a rural area located in the Ponhea Krek district where crop farming is common, Soeng is now 46 years old. She is a rice farmer and also plants cassava. She has been in this business earning a living for more than ten years. Moreover, she raises pigs to gain additional income. Soeng has four children, three of whom are dependents and work for others for a fee.
Soeng received a loan with VisionFund three years ago. The loans have helped her have regular income and make a living better. She earns around fourteen U.S. dollars per day. Now she is applying for another loan with VisionFund. She will use the loan to buy rice seeds and fertilizer for her rice paddy. She hopes to make more rice and earn more income to set aside in order to buy rice for sale and buy more piglets.
