Maweu is 45 years old, married and has three children. He repairs shoes to earn a living. He has been in this business for 14 years. Maweu describes his business environment as good because of limited competition.
Since Maweu joined Kiva partner Faulu Kenya he has been able to educate his children. In the future, he hopes to open a shoe shop and be financially stable. Maweu has applied for a loan of 70,000 Kenyan Shillings to buy sewing thread and shoe soles.
