Carmen Maria
View original language description ↓

Carmen is a 51 year old mother of three children. They live in an area called Laureles Norte, a poor, rural zone. Her husband is a bricklayer, work which helps cover the household expenses but is not sufficient. Carmen looked for an alternative to generate income to cover their costs, and so she works as a cook in a small eatery. Together, both parents fight to give their children a better quality of life, where they will have dignity, protection and security.

The economic situation of these parents has not allowed them to fix the infrastructure on their small home, as they've made the education of their children the priority. For this reason, they are requesting a loan so they may begin some basic repairs on their house, patching the walls and the living area.
