Sarim, 31, is married and resides with her husband and two school-aged children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She and her husband are garment workers.
In view of their meager income, Sarim would like to request a loan of USD 500 to run a new business by purchasing rice to store in the warehouse in order to sell it when the price is higher. By doing so, she will have extra income to support the family. In the future, she plans to purchase rice in large amount to store and resell when the price is higher. Moreover, she would like to build a bathroom and send her children to a good school.
