Mao, 47, is married, and resides with her husband, her mother and six children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She is a weaver. Additionally, she is a rice farmer and raises chickens to generate more income. Her husband is a carpenter who manufactures furniture to sell to generate income for the family. Two of her children are employed at the Christian school.
Mao is requesting a loan of USD 1,200 to purchase wood for her husband to manufacture more furniture to sell to his clients so as to make more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her husband’s business and purchase more farming land to grow rice. Moreover, she plans to build a kitchen, a bathroom and support her children to study until they get Bachelor degrees.
