A 44-year-old mother of one dependent child who is still in school, Channov is also a farmer who has been farming for 20 years to earn a living in her village located in the Ponhea Krek district. She has been supplementing her income by raising pigs for five years to gain additional income to better support her family. With her current business, she earns around US $2 per day and saves around US $1.50 daily.

Now Channov leads a group of four female members. This is her first loan with VisionFund. She will use this loan to buy feed for her pigs for US$50. She hopes to feed her pigs to be healthy and earn more income to improve her living conditions and keep her child in school.

The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
