Sipriano is a 52-year-old married man with six children living in Kasese, Uganda with personal goals of educating his children, building a permanent home and buying a car. He has been a farmer for 20 years after getting capital from the sale of cows given to him by his father. His major hardships are seasonal weather and inadequate capital to purchase modern farming equipment. However, he has goals of buying land to grow crops, hiring employees to help expand his business and moving his business to a more permanent location. The purpose of the loan is to weed his garden and buy a milling machine.
