Ms. Lidia lives along with her husband Severino and their four children in the Alto San Isidro area which is located thirty minutes from the downtown area of the city. Lidia devotes herself to selling groceries on credit such as rice, beans, sugar and oil. But she does not distribute these goods in the city but rather carries them to towns and localities outside the city, for example, the town where her husband's parents live. This business of hers is exhausting since she must make long trips to these towns and must load and unload the merchandise she carries. Her husband Mr. Severino works as a construction worker for hire. They currently live in the family home of her parents but would like to save up enough money to be able to buy their own home.

At this time Lidia requests the loan for increasing her capital with the purchase of more rice, beans and sugar.
