Rashed is a 20-year-old Lebanese single man living with his only parent and three working siblings. They are all cooperating together in order to satisfy the family needs. Despite his young age, he was capable to start his own work as a farmer in 2007, and has already seven years of experience in this domain.
Today, he’s in need of $1,100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase fertilizers, seeds and new agricultural supplies. This loan will improve his productivity, and therefore his revenues and his way of living. In the future, he plans to open his own fruits and vegetables shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
