Harb is a 33-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and only one child. He strives to work under pressure after being the only one taking care of his family and covering their expenses.
He has owned a DVD and computer shop since 1999. He’s well-known in his town for his good quality and high-tech items. He also works as a wholesaler and distributes DVDs to the neighboring areas.
Today, he’s asking for a loan of $2,100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to enlarge his shop and purchase computers and other items. This will boost his sales, and thus, his profits. In the future, he plans to open his own networking shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
