Jorge Geovanny
Jorge is 30 years old. He is married and has a 10 year old child who attends sprimary school. He and his family live in the center of the city of Santo Domingo which is the fourth most populous city in Ecuador after Guayaquil, Quito and Cuenca. Its population is growing rapidly because it has a rich trade sector and the largest cattle market in the country. The province is 3857 km ² in area and has an average temperature of about 25.5 °C which sometimes reaches 38 °C. The whole province of "Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas" appears as part of the mountainous territory of the coast of the western mountain range, historically known as Yumbos Province and Capital de los Colibríes (capital of the hummingbirds). Located in the humid tropics of Latin America, this province is considered new since it was created in 2007.

Jorge has had a stall selling casual clothes for several years. He learned the trade from his relatives. He works alone as his wife spends all her time taking care of their child and the household chores. He works 10 hours a day approximately. He wants to invest in more merchandise and in this way take advantage of the Christmas season during which sales are the highest in the year. He is thinking of buying clothes to increase his stock and thus offer his customers more options to secure the sale. This is his first loan and he feels very optimistic. Although prices have increased and his profit margin has beeen affected, Jorge believes that with this investment he can make good profits again.
