Abbas is a 42-year-old Lebanese man. He lives with his wife and two school-aged children. He’s putting all his effort into responding to his family's requests.
In 2000, Abbas decided to start his own business as a contractor, and already has 25 years of experience in this domain. His job consists of installing bricks. Today, he’s requesting to borrow $1100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase additional construction materials for his business. This loan will facilitate his business operations and push him to take on new projects. In the future, he plans to improve his business and work hard in order to serve his customers as quickly as he can.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
