Hosep is a 60-year-old Lebanese man living with his wife and two children. He strives to work really hard to cover all their costs and expenses. He has owned a carpentry business since 1970 and became expert in his field. Today, he wants a loan of $2100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase the necessary quantity of wood for his work. He notes that this will improve his business and thus his way of living. In the future, he plans to hire someone to work for him.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
