Avtandil lives in the village of Kandaura, East Georgia with his family, wife Nanuli, son and a daughter-in-law. Avtandil is 64 years old. He leads the agricultural business of the family. His son works as a driver at a local milk processing company. Avtandil’s daughter-in-law works as a teacher. Nanuli is a housewife. The family has 2 cows. Nanuli produces cheese and sells it locally to dairy product retailers. Also they have a vineyard on a family-owned plot of land and sell grapes. Total average monthly income of the family is 750 Laris. Avtandil requested credit for purchasing feed for the cows for the winter months. Also, part of the funds will be spent on modifying the engine of Avtandil’s car to make it more cost effective, in terms of consumed fuel.
As the cows will be fed well, Avtandil will get the planned amount of milk and dairy products during the winter months. The family will continue sales of the dairy products, which is an important source of the income for them.
