Vun, age 51, is married and resides with her husband and seven children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She and her husband are farmers who grow mushrooms to sell at the market. Additionally, Vun grows rice to generate more income. Two of her children are employed as receptionists at a hotel.
Vun is requesting a loan of $1200 to purchase oxen to yoke in order to till her farming land and to carry her rice crop. In doing so, she can reduce her plowing service expense. In the future, she would like to expand her business of growing mushrooms, renew her house and support her children to study until they get bachelor's degrees.
