Tarek is a 30-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife. He is the main source of income for his family and has big responsibilities to care for them. He has been selling fruits and vegetables for the past eleven years. He has his own van in which he transports his products all over the villages. Today, he is requesting to borrow $2900 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase more fruits and vegetables, plus perform the needed maintenance on his van so he can carry on his work properly. In the future, he plans to enhance his work and deliver his products the fastest he can.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
