Mohamad is a 31-year-old man. He lives with his wife and three children. He works under pressure and tries the best he can to be a good support for his family. He has owned a minimarket for the past seven years and has succeeded at work, especially after having good quality products.
Today, he’s asking to borrow $2,100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to buy supplementary products and increase his inventory of goods and provisions to be able to further develop his business. In the future, he plans to enlarge his minimarket progressively, in order to be able to open his own supermarket soon.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
