Matari is a 62-year-old businessman, who lives in Juba. He is married and has 4 children between the ages of 8 and 19, all of whom go to school.
Matari runs a furniture store, and he has been in the business for 12 years. He has 3 employees. Matari heard about Finance Sudan from the loan officers’ promotion in the market. He is taking a loan of SDG 3000 to purchase more items like timber, machines for cutting timber, and many others. Aside from this business, Matari has no other source of income.
In 5 years' time, Matari hopes to enlarge the store by building it from concrete.
His major challenges include importing the timber from other countries into South Sudan.
Matari says that he appreciates Finance Sudan’s efforts in South Sudan for uplifting them financially: "Without Finance Sudan, I was not going to talk about machines."
