Mrs. Tes is from Prey Chor district. Agriculture is a main part of what she does. She is now 56 years old and married. She has two children who always assist her on the farm. Tes grows types of crops, such as rice, pepper plants (chili), and vegetables, based on the season.
She would like to apply for a loan from HKL and Kiva to purchase a pumping machine, water pipes, and fertilizers for her chili plants. This loan will improve her business and reduce some expenses that she usually pays for her laborers.
She is very happy and grateful for the constant support from lenders for her business.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
