Francisca
Francisca is president of the Edén Communal Bank from the city of Valparaíso.

Francisca presidenta del Banco comunal “Edén” perteneciente a la ciudad de Valparaíso.
Se dedica a diferentes rubros, entre los cuales se encuentran la artesanía y la repostería. Ya que teje a crochet y pinta diversos artículos, actualmente se encuentra pintando nacimientos (pesebres para navidad). En cuanto al rubro de la repostería se dedica a preparar empanadas.
Ella además Trabaja cuidando un abuelita, algunos días a la semana y también prepara almuerzos, ya que tiene pensionistas.
Su mercadería la compra en diferentes distribuidoras, principalmente donde los insumos que necesite se encuentren a bajo costo.
Con el crédito comprará una máquina bordadora.
Sus metas son vivir de los ingresos generados por sus negocios.
Francisca vive sola, su anhelo es poder disfrutar de su casa, ya que por ahora la arrienda y su sueño es comprar una freidora para uno de sus negocios.
Comenta que está muy contenta y agradecida de la oportunidad que le ha brindado Fondo Esperanza para invertir en su negocio. Ya que ha podido incrementar sus ventas e ingresos. Por otro lado, las capacitaciones han sido también un gran aporte para el crecimiento de su negocio.

About Fondo Esperanza

Fondo Esperanza (FE) is a private non-profit organization that supports entrepreneurship by providing micro-credit and training to people living in poverty in well over 100 cities throughout Chile. By providing these services, FE aims to improve the living conditions of the entrepreneurs and their families. In 2010, FE provided loans to more than 41,000 entrepreneurs. It utilizes a communal banking model in which groups of 18 to 25 clients meet on regularly and guarantee each other’s loans. The members use their portion of the loan to create or expand their own businesses. In the group meetings, clients receive training though the FE Entrepreneurship School, which enhances clients’ personal and business skills and ability to work in groups.
