Mrs. Chhun C., 37, is a vendor of grocery products making on average $30 of income. To contribute to the household income, her husband, Mr. Srive Sran, 42, owns a plot of farmland upon which he grows rice, normally earning $1.43 a day of profit. They have five children. This couple requests a loan of $1000 from Kiva to expand their business. Half of the money will be used to buy more grocery products and the rest will finance house renovations.
