Fadia is a 33-year-old Lebanese single woman living with her parents who are fulfilling and responding to the family needs. She started her own business in 2010, where she sells women accessories in addition to recharge cards. Today, she’s asking for a loan of $1100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to increase her existing quantity of accessories and also to buy more recharge cards. This Kiva loan will increase her sales and therefore her profits. In the future, she plans to enlarge her shop to include new and diverse items.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
