Mohamad is a single 24-year-old Lebanese man. He lives with his parents and four siblings. Two of the siblings are working in addition to the parents who are covering the family's expenses. Mohamad started his own business in 2009. His job consists of repairing car’s electrical issues. He has his own garage and is looking to further grow in his domain. Today, he needs to borrow $2100 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase car batteries in order to be able to serve more customers and thus boost his revenues. In the future, Mohamad plans to expand his work and hire additional people to work for him.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
