He worked the field with his father and at 26, he married Calixta, who is the daughter of a weaver, and they began to work together. They have now been selling traditional bedspreads and hammocks made in the city of Carapeguá for more than 20 years, selling them in Caaguazú and Ciudad del Este. They have a well-established customer base and Calixta is an artisan and weaves the blankets, thereby reducing their cost.

Don Rubén tiene 59 años de edad, está casado hace mas de 20 años con la Sra. Calixta de 52 años de edad, tienen juntos 3 hijos todos mayores de edad.
El señor Rubén es hijo de un agricultor, creció en una de las compañías de Carapeguá. Trabajó en el campo con su padre, a los 26 años de edad se casó con Sra. Calixta quien es hija de una tejedora y empezaron a trabajar juntos, hoy en día, desde hace mas de 20 años se dedica a la venta de las tradicionales sobrecamas y hamacas que se producen en la ciudad de Carapeguá, los cuales lleva a vender por la zonas de Caaguazú y Ciudad del Este. Comentan que tienen una clientela bien formada, incluso su señora quién es artesana es quien teje las frazadas y así obtiene un menor costo.
Solicita el préstamo para la compra de hilos y color para tejer hamacas que en ésta temporada lo solicitan mucho sus clientes.
