Ahmad is a 50-year-old Lebanese married man. He’s living with his wife and two children who are still attending school. He’s always searching to offer the best he can to his family. For this reason, he opened his own electronics repair shop in 2005. He’s also working as a free-lancer and visits his clients whenever they ask for his services. Today, Ahmad is requesting to borrow 2,600 USD from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase an advanced scanner machine to repair ovens, washing machines, and many other products. In the future, he plans to open his own electronics shop.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
