Ali is a 54-year-old married Lebanese man living with his wife. He’s working really hard to be able to cover his family needs since he provides the main source of income. Ali decided to start his own business in 1998, so he opened a bakery shop in his town where he’s well known for his delicious food and welcoming place.
Ali is requesting a 1,600 USD loan from the Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added raw materials for his business such as flour, sugar, and other items. His loan will help him develop his business and increase his production. In the future, he plans to deliver bread to neighboring areas
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
