Yom, 38, is widowed and resides with three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She is a rice farmer and runs a poultry farm. Two of her children are garment workers. Due to the difficulty in traveling to work, Yom is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to purchase a motorbike for her children to commute to work. By doing so, they can save some money from transportation expenses and support their family. In the future, she would like to run a grocery store at home, renew her house and support her youngest son to study until he gets Bachelors degree.
