Hamza is a 59-year-old Lebanese man. He is married and lives with his wife and their only school-aged child. He’s solely responsible for his family and does not hesitate to help whenever needed. After twenty years' experience selling electrical equipment, he decided to open his own electronics shop in 2007. Today, he’s asking for a loan of $2800 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase additional electronic products such as heaters, refrigerators, and other items in order to increase his sales and therefore his revenue. In the future, he plans to enlarge his shop by adding diverse items.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
