Vachik
Vachik, 51 years old, lives in Geghamavan village, Sevan, with his wife. Vachik’s children are married and they live separately from their parents. Vachik worked for a long time at the Gagarin village light-technical factory and then was engaged in shoe and cup production. In 2006, Vachik began an agricultural business. He has 4 cows and some sheep on his farm. As Vachik’s wife is jobless, she helps her husband with the farming. They produce butter and cheese and sell them, along with beef and lamb, in their village. Farming allows Vachik to provide for his family and support his children’s families as well. Vachik intends to develop his farm, so he is seeking a 1,100,000 AMD loan to buy 3 more cows for his farm. This will allow Vachik to produce more butter and cheese and thus to increase his family’s income in the future.
