Khaled is a 41-year-old Lebanese man. He is married and lives with his wife and his four children, who are still attending school. He is the one responsible for his family and seeks to offer them a better future.
Khaled worked as a mechanic for many years; and in 2000, he started to work independently; he specializes in repairing trucks.
Today, he is requesting to borrow $1,600 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new mechanical tools for his business. With these tools, he will be capable to carry on his work properly. In the future, he plans to open his own mechanic garage.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
