Sokha, 44, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She is a rice trader. Her husband is a farmer. Two of her children are employed overseas; her son works as construction worker in Thailand and her daughter works as homemaker in Malaysia.
Sokha requests a loan of USD 1000 to purchase rice to store in a warehouse to sell when the price is higher. By doing so, she can make more profit than usual.
In the future, she would like to run a rice store at home, build a new house, and support her children to study the Korean language in order to find a job in Korea.
