Bolotshi Plus is a group of 20 owners of small businesses chaired by Mpoyi. Its members are jointly liable for loans granted by Kiva to grow their businesses.

Mpoyi is 36 years old. His main business is selling plastic packaging. Besides selling plastic packaging, he also sells lamp oil. He buys them in bulk and resells them at retail at a profit. He sells his products daily at the market in his area, located west of Kinshasa.

Mpoyi started his business in 2000. He is a trustworthy client of the MFI HOPE RDC, having two times obtained and correctly repaid loans. His next loan will allow him to buy plastic packaging in larger quantities to increase his sales in order to make a better profit. Mpoyi makes a profit of about $30 USD per week. The aims of this loan are mainly for food and school fees for his children. He is married and the father of two children whose ages are two and six years old. One child attends school.
