Archil is 43 years old, married and has one child. His mother-in-law also lives with the family. He is a farmer from the village Akhasheni, Kakheti Region. Archil is leading the agricultural business of the family, which is their main source of income. They have a milk cow and sell milk on the market. They also sell grapes, harvested on family-owned one-half hectare of land. Archil grows maize on family-owned one-quarter hectare of land. The total average monthly income of the family is 800 Laris, including the monthly pension of Archil’s mother in law.
Archil's wife is pregnant and is expecting their second baby in December. He is requesting a loan, which he will use to cover the expenses of the maternity hospital. Archil and his wife hope that the childbirth process will be safe and both mother and the newborn will be in good health.
