Amina is a 48-year-old Lebanese married woman living with her husband and six children. Two of her children are still attending school and four are working.
Amina cooperates with her husband to be able to fulfill her family's needs. She has owned a vegetables shop for thirteen years. As for her husband, he has been transporting students in his own van for the past ten years.
Today, Amina is requesting to borrow $2000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to renovate her shop and purchase more vegetables in order to attract more customers and augment her sales. In the future, she plans to enlarge her shop to include exotic fruits.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
