This is 44 year-old Mariatu. She is married and has four children, ages 16, 13, 10 and 7. She has one additional dependent, who lives with her because she is an orphan.
In 2004, Mariatu established a business selling traveling bags, ladies' bags and laptops. She began her business because she wanted to enhance her independence and help her husband to provide for their children.
Working seven days a week and 12 hours a day, she earns about Le 1,200,000 every month from this business. She would like a loan in the amount of Le 5,000,000.
Mariatu has already received and successfully repaid one loan, and now requires a new loan in order to buy traveling bags and ladies' bags for her business. She hopes that this loan will enable her to increase her monthly profits by approximately Le 300,000.
In the future, Mariatu plans to convert her store into a mighty store and to educate her children to the university level. She thanks you for your support.
