Anyas is a 23-year-old Lebanese single woman. She lives with her mother and two siblings. Her siblings are both working in addition to their mother, who is the one covering the family’s expenses.
As for Anyas, she has been working as a private teacher for the past four years from her home. She is intelligent and expert in her field. Today she is asking for a loan of $800 from Kiva partner, Ameen s.a.l., to purchase a laptop for her business. She notes that this will allow her to develop her way of teaching and thus her communication with her students.
In the future, she plans to open her own learning center.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
