Aisha is a widowed woman with five children, all of whom are grown-ups. She owns a house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past year, she has operated a juice selling business and charcoal business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. In addition, she also owns residential houses which contribute to her income. She faces a major challenge of the high cost of transporting charcoal to her place of operation.
With the Kshs 40,000 she wants to renovate her residential houses and purchase charcoal for sale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
