Moushira is a 27-year-old Lebanese woman living with her husband and two school-aged children. In order to pay their children's education fees, Moushira and her husband strive to work really hard. And for that reason, Mourshira decided to start her own business. She opened her own clothing shop in 2008. Her husband has been also working in his own women's clothing store for the past ten years.
Today, Moushira is looking to borrow $1,200 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l, in order to purchase the new winter collection of clothes. She notes that this will increase her business sales, especially during the holidays. In the future, she plans to open other branches in different areas.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
