The residents of the area work in various sectors such as: agriculture, livestock, animal breeding (pigs, chickens, sheep), commerce and construction.

Segundo grows crops and breeds animals. He grows corn, wheat, barley, lentils, onions and in addition has 2 dairy cows. He also works in construction.

He buys and sells in Guaranda. He is asking for the loan in order to buy manure and fertilizers for his corn crop. With the help of the loan, he will be able to improve production. His dream is to buy a plot of land and build a house.

The challenges he has faced are potato blight and pests in his corn as well as sickness with his cows.

In his free time he likes to go for walks, sports and enjoy the festivities of the carnaval.

Segundo Manuel tiene 40 años de edad es casado tiene 7 hijos, vive con la esposa y los hijos de 18, 16, 13, 9, 7,4 y 2 años de edad en Guaranda Provincia de Bolívar.
Es integrante de la VRC VENTANAS se encuentra formada en la comunidad Guantuncoto, Parroquia Julio Moreno Cantón Guaranda, a una distancia de 30 minutos de la oficina Los habitantes de la Comunidad se dedican a diferentes actividades como son: agricultura, ganadería, crianza de animales (cerdos, pollos, ovejas) comercio y construcción.
Segundo se dedica a la agricultura, crianza de animales, tiene sembríos de maíz, trigo, cebada, lenteja, cebolla, además tiene 2 ganados lecheros, y se dedica también a la construcción.
Las compras y las ventas lo hace en Guaranda. Solicita el crédito para destinarlo a la siembra de maíz compra de abonos, fertilizantes. Con la ayuda del crédito podrá mejorar la producción. El sueño es poder comprar un lote de terreno y construir una vivienda.
Los desafíos a los que se ha enfrentado es la presencia de lanchas en los cultivos de papas y plagas en el maíz, enfermedades en el ganado.
En el tiempo libre le gusta salir a pasear, hacer deporte y le gusta disfrutar de las festividades del carnaval.
