Sahar is a 47-year-old married Lebanese woman living with her husband and four children, all of whom are still attending school. Her husband is the main income provider in the family; he works on a daily basis in a local company.
As for Sahar, she opened her own lingerie shop in 2005. She has her loyal customers and knows very well how to stay in a good relationship with them. Today she is requesting to borrow $3000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to diversify her merchandise selection of underwear, pajamas, bridal lingerie, and may other items. In the future, she plans to enlarge her shop to include women's clothes.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
