Souknah is a 27-year-old married Lebanese woman living with her husband and two children. In order to take some responsibilities off of her husband, she decided to open her own studio. For this reason she started to work as a photographer in 2005. As for her husband, he’s also an event photographer and has been working in this domain for the past twenty-five years.
Today she’s asking to borrow $3000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new photography equipment such as cameras, film, photo frames, and many other items. In the future, she plans to open a photography center with the cooperation of her husband.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
