Ren is a 62-year-old mother, widowed and has two children. One of her children is a barber and the other one is a factory worker. Ren has been farming for 30 years and is her main source of income. With her current business, she earns around 10 U.S. dollars per day.
This is Ren's first loan with VisionFund. She will use this loan to buy fertilizer for her farm and will use some of the loan to rent a farm to grow more rice. With this loan, she hopes to make more rice and earn more income to make a better living.
