Ek M. is 34 years old, and a widower. He is currently employed at a Coca Cola, and sells soft drinks for a profit of about $2 a day. Coca Cola is extremely popular in the Cambodian market, so he needs to increase his income by expanding his range of drinks. Unfortunately, he currently faces a large financial constraint. Ek would like to apply for a loan to increase the range of drinks he sells, and the quantity that he can market. Ek plans to use the profits he earns from his business to help send his son to a university, and purchase a new house for his parents.
