Louis est âgé de 39 ans et est marié à une marchande du nom de Odile. Le couple a six enfants dont certains scolarisés et tous à leur charge. En plus de leurs enfants, le couple a un autre enfant en charge. Louis n’a pas fréquenté l’école. Le couple assure ensemble les diverses charges familiales. Pour subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de sa famille, Louis mène comme activité depuis vingt cinq ans environs, la culture des céréales (haricot) qu’il vend dans un marché du Bénin. Parallèlement à cette activité, Louis fait l’élevage des porcs. C'est dans sa région que Louis exerce ses activités. Dans le but de renforcer son activité et de mieux satisfaire sa clientèle, Louis sollicite un cinquième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Son ambition est d’accroître le niveau de son activité. Les quatre premiers crédits reçus antérieurement par Louis ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
